If you’re referring to digital, then no it’s eight in and eight out, same as analogue. Was this the correct fix? Thanks for your helpful advice.
Yeah, I was afraid of that. Many thanks to the fcho people for their help ,ayla advice on this repair: Something more sinister was going on, and the folks at Echo kindly helped out by providing a schematic. One of these must be the source of the noise. On arrival, I held this pF 1uF capacitor in place only to find no effect whatsoever.
Now the challenge of a permanant fix. The hot and cold sides are operating independently, whereas they should be mirrors of each other. I don’t see the additional eight digital channels. The problem arises when i fire up Cubase. But what we can deduce from this is that the noise is only present on the cold side.
I’ve used my Echo Layla 3G with Cubase without any major heartache.

I also have them connected with a BNC lahla cable. Who is online Users browsing this forum: Not sure though ‘cos I bought both devices second hand. However, when I fire up Cubase 6. I tried installing the 2nd PCI card in the same computer but the computer kept hanging.
The hiss is gone and the audio is impeccable.
